‘Alone’ (Slender-billed and Eurasian Curlews)

Slender-billed Curlew is most probably extinct now, the last sighting is from 2001 in Hungary. I’m fortunate having seen one back in 1996. The background for this painting is based on studies and photos from the exact location of the sighting in 2001.
